Publisher's summary[edit | edit source]
Earth: 2006, and the fate of the planet is already sealed, its destiny decided… by the marauding mechanical beings known as DECEPTICONS. In their way stand an embattled crew of seven hardy AUTOBOT warriors, sworn to prevent the impending Armageddon at any cost, and an unlikely trio of human misfits, pulled kicking and screaming into a hitherto hidden world of pain and hurt. The can of worms is open, the genie out of bottle… and nothing will ever be the same again!
Plot summary[edit | edit source]
At a bus station in Phoenix, Arizona, Verity Carlo checks out the crowd unil she sees a businessman using a palm computer. This same businessman is being tracked by a suspicious sports car. Stealing a ticket, Carlo boards the same bus as the man and steals his computer. On account of eating a spoiled bagel, Verity is dropped on the side of the road. The bus moves on, being trailed by two sports cars.
Verity is soon picked up by one Hunter O'Nion. He decides to take a detour and is met by the sight of the bus off the road, learning from the driver it was forced off by two sports cars. All passengers are accounted for except for the businessman.
After Verity continually asks him, Hunter reveals his purpose in the desert: he is a conspiracy theorist looking for signs of extraterrestrial mechanical life. She laughs at him until a blue F-22 fighter jet swoops down, scans, and attacks them, all without a pilot. Hunter's van is destroyed, but the duo are saved by a driver in a strangely-armed ambulance.

Notes[edit | edit source]
Franchise references[edit | edit source]
- One of the Battlechargers brings up a "infradatabase". On account of the fact that "infra-" means "below", this is most likely a callback to the Underbase from the original Marvel Transformers comic.
Real-life references[edit | edit source]
- Ratchet says "If you want to live, come with me!", a callback to the T-800's words to Sarah Connor in the action film Terminator 2: Judgement Day.
Errors[edit | edit source]
- On cover A, Jazz has the chest of a Porsche 935, instead of his current alternate mode, a Porsche 997.
- On various panels, Verity is given six fingers on each hand.
- Hunter can tell there is no pilot inside of Thundercracker's cockpit, a feat no human could ever accomplish.
